I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. My first four years as a therapist I worked for the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station in Jacksonville, NC. It was truly an honor and a privilege to work with service members and their families. There I received specialized training to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) related to childhood trauma and combat trauma, depression, insomnia, military sexual assault, and addictive behaviors including alcohol, pornography and video games. I moved to Richmond, VA in November of 2016 and worked at Grapevine Counseling & Therapy until opening my own practice, Kelly M. Chadwick, LCSW, LLC in the summer of 2018. I moved back to Jacksonville, NC in the summer of 2021 and opened my new private practice Anchor of Hope Therapy Services, PLLC.
I enjoy working with adults using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each of my clients. My areas of expertise include Christian-based counseling, life transitions and stressors, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
My therapeutic style is compassionate, empathetic and direct. I work hard to provide each client with a respectful and safe atmosphere where they can feel heard, understood, and fully supported.
